Gems to Jewels Hair Academy

Our aim is to empower these young women, helping them embrace and love themselves, and emphasizing the importance of self-worth and building their self-esteem.

My name is Meghan Odom, and I am the owner of RS One Salon and Spa. I am a Licensed Cosmetologist and Certified Hair Loss Practitioner. I am a para-medical (non-physician) that specializes in hair care, hair loss and scalp problems. I also specialize in women’s natural (textured) healthy hair maintenance, blow outs (silk presses), relaxers, cuts and color. Royal Strandz is not only my business, but my ministry and passion. Gems are unpolished precious or semi-precious stones, while a jewel is a refined gemstone. The qualities of a gemstone are beauty, rarity and durability. After the gem has been crafted into a jewel, it is further processed for its characteristics. The more characteristics a jewel has, the more expensive or valuable the jewel becomes. I am not  idolizing the jewel or stones, but instead using them as a visual to teach each girl her self-worth, recognize her potential and value.
